Wendell Lee Marson was born July 31, 1952. He died October 29, 1988 and is interred with his brother, Henry (1951-2001), at River View Cemetery - Portland, OR.
He was married to Lisa Baenen for a short time (1979-1981).
I recognised Wendell from High School at a vacuum repair shop in my neighborhood of Westmoreland where I would bring in my machine for repair and servicing. He was extremely shy and quiet but always did outstanding work, quickly, and at a fair price.
I went one day to bring in my vacuum and the shop was closed up. I asked a local merchant when it was to open again and they said that the fellow had commited suicide (how sad!). That really bummed me out because I missed the opportunity to connect with someone who I went to school with but was "too shy" to mention it.
I'd heard he left behind a wife and family.
I can't verify any of these facts, but couldn't just let him be forgotten.
Missed opportunities - kind of makes you wonder if a simple conversation or missed one added to whatever was going on.
