He rode up on his Harley to the old LOHS 50th anniversary bonfire behind the old History room. It was dark out but the lights were on out there. Eric walked up to me and asked if any of our classmates were there...I said Nope, you and I are the only ones. With his Sam Elliott type voice, we talked for a while and he offered to give me a ride on his Harley, but he didn't have an extra helmet. I thanked him for the offer and told him I would have gone! RIP Eric,  you'll be missed ...Liz Robinson

Among the NICEST of class friends at LOHS!  I remember Eric very fondly.

Eric was fun to talk to and really fun to joke with. While looking through an old box of "stuff", I found a reminder of the jokes we shared.

Spring 1971 Eric needed  35¢  and asked for a "loan".  I tore off a piece of paper from my lunch bag and made an I.O.U for the requested 35¢. The I.O.U. stipulated that Eric owed the 35¢ and if not paid back, I would be entitled to Eric's first born child, after he  is done raising the kid. I had told Eric  weeks later that I would not be collecting the 35¢ from him, but would wait 20 years or so and than collect his first offspring. Eric had the payback, but I got more mileage, in jokes, from "trying to collect" and from Eric trying to make me take the 35¢.  Eric's sense of humor was top-notch!   Eric: You were a good man!
