I knew Cindy through riding horses with her at Mountain Park Stables. Cindy was super bright -- always reading. The local librarian once told her and her mother that they increased the yearly circulation by thousands of books. She graduated from Lewis & Clark College and went on to pursue a career in journalism. After college she moved to San Francisco and worked with Greenpeace. She later returned to the Portland area and died from lymphoma.
